PKM Anak Asuh Panti Sosial Mardhatilah Sukoharjo Dalam Pencegahan Dan Pengendalian Coronavirus Disease (Covid-19)

Abstract

Corona Virus Disease-19 is a virus that attacks the respiratory system and can cause mild disorders of the respiratory system, severe lung infections, and even death. The community has an important role in breaking the chain of transmission of Covid-19 so as not to cause new sources of transmission. The implementation of this community service aims to provide information and education to foster children at the Mardhatilah Social Orphanage, Sukoharjo where the foster children have not received enough information regarding the prevention and control of Covid-19. The results of measuring the level of knowledge of foster children at the Mardhatilah Sukoharjo Social Institution after being given education about the prevention and control of Covid-19, it was found that knowledge increased, from the majority before being given education, the level of knowledge was less as much as 62.5% to a good level of knowledge after being given education as much as 90%. The knowledge of foster children at the Mardhatilah Sukoharjo Social Institution can increase because they have followed and paid attention to the education provided by the resource persons, so that they get information about the Covid-19 disease and the prevention and control of Covid-19.
